Ambassador Dr Robert Klinke has been the Special Representative of the Federal Foreign Office for Relations with Jewish Organisations, Issues Relating to Antisemitism, International Sinti and Roma Affairs, and Holocaust Remembrance since July 2022.

The main focus of his remit is on European and international cooperation. For this, he works closely with the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE), the Council of Europe and the European Union, as well as bilaterally with partner countries and NGOs, especially in Europe, North and South America and Israel. His work in the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA) is of particular importance.

Moreover, within the sphere of foreign and European policy the Special Representative is actively involved in the implementation of the National Strategy against Antisemitism and for Jewish Life and the national strategic framework Tackling Antigypsyism, Ensuring Participation.

Another focus of the work of the entire team is the funding of projects with an international dimension which contribute to the memory of the Shoah and the National Socialist genocide of the Sinti and Roma or to the fight against antisemitism and antigypsyism or which are aimed at enhancing Jewish life as well as Sinti and Roma life.
