UNHCR announces latest refugee and displacement figures – another record high

UN High Commissioner for Refugees Filippo Grandi presented the latest figures for displacement and forced migration on 18 June 2021. According to these figures, by the end of 2020, 82.4 million people had been violently displaced – almost 3 million more than in the previous year. A record number.
