On Monday, 25 August 2014, Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier, together with the President of the Swiss Confederation Didier Burkhalter and Javier Solana, will open this year’s Ambassadors Conference.

The conference in Berlin, attended from 25 to 28 August 2014 by the heads of all German embassies and consulates, features the title 'Review 2014 – A Fresh Look at German Foreign Policy'.

As in previous years, the four-day conference will be attended by a host of prominent figures from the spheres of politics, business and culture.

In over 60 forums and workshops with experts from Germany and other countries, the ambassadors will explore current foreign policy issues and other key questions for the future.

The Business Forum on Tuesday, 26 August 2014 will be opened by Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier and Emma Marcegaglia, President of the European industry association BUSINESSEUROPE. Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier and members of the board of Siemens and Deutsche Telekom Prof. Siegfried Rußwurm and Claudia Nemat will take part in the closing panel discussion.
