When paying by credit card, the charge will be made in Euros. The cardholder must also be present when making the payment.
Please note that „pinning“ (payments with EC card), payments with mobile phones (including credit cards on mobile phones) and „Tikkie“ are not possible at the Consulate General.
Additional fees are charged per application for the acceptance and forwarding of passport applications by an honorary consul to the superior foreign mission.

Validity
The validity of your identity document depends on the type of document and your age at the time of your application:

Processing time
Biometric passports and identity cards are produced centrally by the Bundesdruckerei in Berlin. The estimated processing times are as follows:

These processing times apply from the time the documents are ordered by the foreign mission from the Bundesdruckerei. If there are delays in the application process (e.g. due to missing documents), the processing times will be extended accordingly.
The passports are sent from Germany by an external courier service provider. Unfortunately, the Federal Printing Office and the German diplomatic missions abroad have no influence on the delivery time. In view of the recurring delays in international air traffic, a guarantee that the passport will be delivered on a specific date cannot be given.
All information regarding the expected delivery time is non-binding.
The express surcharge is charged exclusively for preferential and accelerated processing at the Bundesdruckerei. The delivery of the document to the German diplomatic mission abroad cannot be accelerated by paying the express surcharge.
