The following checklists enable you to check whether your application documents are complete by ticking them off. We advise you to print the relevant checklist before the appointment. All documents listed must be submitted. Further information can be found under each topic.

  • DECLARATION OF COMMITMENT: In order to show that someone has sufficient financial means to support a stay in Germany, visa applicants may be asked to present a formal letter of financial Support. Find more Information here

  • If applicable: Please inform yourself about the recognition of your job qualification before the appointment:
    1. For the recognition of your university qualification use the anabin database.
    2. If the qualification is not assessed as “entspricht” (comparable) or “gleichwertig” (equivalent) and/or the university is not classified as “H+”. Please apply for a Statement of Comparability by the Central Office for Foreign Education (ZAB).
    3. In the case of regulated professions in which permission is required to exercise the profession, for example, doctors, engineers; complete list is available from the Federal Employment Agency or the European Commission. Please open and read the information portal of the German government for the recognition of foreign professional qualifications/permission to exercise these profession on this website.
